Guru Dharma Pracharana Sabha (GDPS) is the first manifestation of organized movement of immigrant Sree Narayana Guru Deva Devotees in and around Noida. GDPS was constituted in 1987 under a memorandum and articles of association with by-laws by a small group of Sree Narayana devotees in and around Noida and this Sabha was later registered with Sivagiri Mutt, Varkala (Kerala) as well as under Uttar Pradesh Society Registration Act, in 1999. GDPS is a socio-cultural organization based in and around Noida (U.P.). It was established for the purpose of rendering services in the social, religious, cultural and educational fields, besides popularizing the philosophy and teaching of Sree Narayana Guru. The teachings and writings of Sree Naraya Guru are relevant today in eradicating many of the social evils and imbalances and to bring about social equity in the society, irrespective of regions and religions. We have visualized ambitious plans for the present and future. Our programmes include among other things, setting up of Religious Place-cum-Sree Narayana Centre, School, Community Hall, Library, etc., in a phased manner, on the land allotted to Sabha by Greater Noida Authority. Our main aims are to transfer the cultural and philosophical heritage to the next generations, introduce Sree Narayana Guru devotees to each other, Spread teachings of Sree Narayana Guru, help socially and economically weaker section in education, work with other sister organizations for the betterment of all, educate members about all religions, Provide financial help to victims of disasters, Work in co-operation with other similar organizations, Establish and institute to teach Sree Narayana philosophy, all ought to be treated with love; justice and due regard to their merits, None ought to be contended with his or her good alone, but every one ought to regard his prosperity as included in that of others. Our first and foremost objective is to do good to the world by improving the physical, spiritual and social condition of mankind. As a social organization, we have done our best to uplift the backward and poor section of the section society, helping the poor in need – in cash and kind, encouraging children in studies by giving token recognitions and educational aids to the needies. Our helping hand had always been extended to poor families by providing aids and finance for self employment. We are here to keep a common platform for all those who believe in and conduct their life in the light of Sree Narayana guru’s ideas. We are here to propagate Guru's teachings to those who are still victim of social and religious devil. All these years we have been guided by the teachings of Jagat Guru Sree Narayana and we hope that his blessings will be with us in future also. Objectives of the Organization
- To promote and safeguard the economic, educational, cultural, moral and other social interest of the members
- To promote harmony and the spirit of common brotherhood amongst all people of India transcending religious differences
- To promote and maintain an organization of persons who believes in the philosophy and ideals preached by Shri Narayan Guru and to foster the spirit of co- operation, fellow feeling, secular spirit and solidarity amonst them
- To coperate, federate or affiliate it to the other spiritual and social orgaizations having similar aims and objectives
- To promote and maintain cooperation with all linguistic diversity of Uttar Pradesh for their welfare and to carry out social activities to maintain solidarity, discipline and friendship
- To promote organized welfare programs like setting up of forums for women and children, destitute, library facilities, readin rooms, common prayer hall and organize free education of poor children, classes to educate the children of members and followers of Sri Narayan Guru and his philosophy
- To arrange ocassional social gatherings, group prayers, sports, arts, cultural and literacy programs
- To arrange marriages of adult women and men under the enriched philosophical throughts of Sri Narayana Guru
